Math & Science: Week of 4/22-26 Monday – 15.5 and 15.6 (CW/HW) Tuesday – 15.7 & Review (CW/HW) Wednesday – Unit 15 Test Thursday – Begin FAST Test Review Friday – Practice Math FAST Test Science – Energy Unit Test on Thursday or Friday Math & Science: Week of 4/29-May 2 ***Continue Review for FAST Math. Review Games, Review Bowl, Practice Test HW each night will be Assessment Practice Pages. This is a VERY important part of the year where students will be practicing questions written similar to the FAST testin format. Students should be finishing their ALEKS Pie for the year (math program) and should be progressing significantly in their Edmentum (EP Math). Remember, students are expected to earn at least 6 trophies per week (2 in math, 2 in Reading, 2 in LA) and they should be working on this daily in class and at home. *Important: Practice multiplication facts daily, all students are expected to know them through the 12s. **ALEKS on McGraw Hill in Rapid Identity: Students should log at least 40 minutes a week at home. This can be sent in at any time. This is optional, but MUCH appreciated.
School Hours
8:20-2:25 Doors open for students at 7:50. Tardy Bell rings at 8:20. Take Home Folder - I send these folders home on Friday. It will contain graded papers, field trip permission slips, and important school information. I ask that you please keep your child's graded papers until the end of the quarter. That way if there are any discrepancies in the grade book you can send the graded work back to school for us to correct the grade book. Please send the folder back the next day.

The parent/guardian must notify the school to provide the reason for the student’s absence within three (3) days of the absence, or it becomes an unexcused absence. All make-up work assigned shall be completed within three (3) days after the student returns to school unless given an extension of time by the teacher. Tests announced prior to the absence can be given on the student’s first day back to school, or at the discretion of the teacher. Assignments given prior to an absence that were due during the absence should be turned in the first day the student returns to school |
Pre-arranged AbsencesPer the Code of Conduct:
Pre-arranged absence requests must be made at least five (5) school days prior to the date of the absence, except in the case of an emergency. Students shall make pre-arrangements for their school work to be done; it will be due the day the student returns to school. Work done in the pre-arranged time allotted will be given full credit. TransportationIs your child's transportation changing for the day? The week? Or permanently? If so, you must send in a note about the change or we MUST send your child home his/her normal way.
